Hello, I manage a CCTV integrator and my technical staff could benefit from a solid electrical foundation (Ohm's law, ac vs. dc, basic electrical safety, conduits, grounding, etc.)

Currently, they have a lack of awareness and understanding of basic issues that causes problems on installations and overruns.

What suggestions on books, seminars or videos would you recommend to improve their electrical skill level?

Thank you.

Re: Basic Electrical Training Help

i am uncertain as to your technical background.
there are several ways in which you can go.
#1. goto the local book store and buy some self help books.
#2. goto the local library and check out some books.
#3. goto your local vocational technical school and talk to the instructors and see what they recommend. whether the class is basic electronics or basic electricity.
#4. goto your local college and university and do the same.

while 1 & 2 are good ideas, i have alsways had better success in a class room environment, but that's just me. you get to ask questions and learn from others.

i hope these ideas help.

How about the use of Mikes products. I have used them and they are great learning and teaching tools.
