Bath exhaust fan suggestion

I have a situation where a small bathroom was added onto a bungalow many years ago. The roof over the addition has 2 x 4 construction with no attic above so, the possibility of adding an exhaust fan seems slim. The walls are tiled so cutting out a tile and getting wire there is not an option either. I can install a surface mounted exhaust adjacent to the ceiling light fixture but I don't know of an exhaust product that I can use. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. I thought about that but I'm not looking to create a vacuum in the small bathroom. In addition I only have 3 1/2" to work with so I can't install a backflow preventer. On a cold day the bathroom will be icy cold.

Still, there's no way to prevent backflow. They'll freeze in the winter. I think the shallow unit is a better option.

I agree, even that one can make the room cold should the damper get stuck open. You would also need make up air inlet with that kind of fan or else it may be hard to open out swinging doors or close in swinging doors while the fan is in use.
