Does the NEC specify whether there is any restriction on the location of a switch in a bathroom. The particular switch I am concerned with is located directly behind a sink, 6" from the water's edge. The only restrictions I found was that the switch can not be located in a the shower or tub area.

The tub zone is the only restricted area.

I would add that I used the words tub zone. I should have said within the tub space. The switch could be anywhere outside of the tubs' edge.
