If a wall mounted fixture above a sink is less then 3' from the tub/shower,
does it have to be listed for damp locations?

Could you provide the ROP?ROC ...please
Does this mean that I can mount any light over the sink if the sink is located in the 3ft X8ft Zone, next to the tub enclosure?
Here is the ROP, with the bolded parts being the changes:Pierre C Belarge said:Ryan

Submitter: James W. Carpenter, International Association of Electrical

Recommendation: In the last sentence of 410.4(D), delete the phrase “in this zone” and replace it with the phrase “within the actual footprint of the bathtub rim or shower threshold” to read as follows:
“(D) Bathtub and Shower Areas. No parts of cord-connected luminaires (fixtures), chain-, cable-, or cord-suspended-luminaires (fixtures), lighting
track, pendants, or ceiling-suspended (paddle) fans shall be located within a space measured 900 mm (3 ft) horizontally and 2.5 m (8 ft) vertically from the top of the bathtub rim or shower stall threshold. This zone is all encompassing and includes the space directly over the tub or shower stall.
Luminaires (lighting fixtures) located in this space within the actual outside dimension of the bathtub or shower to a height of 2.5 m (8 ft) vertically from
the top of the bathtub rim or shower threshold shall.
No, it is still prohibited to install suspended luminaires, and track, fans, etc.Does this mean that I can mount any light over the sink if the sink is located in the 3ft X8ft Zone, next to the tub enclosure?
