Re: bathroom branch circuits

Ok, why is it sometimes permissable and sometimes not? I'm trying to put the lighting on a single circuit to one bathroom.

Re: bathroom branch circuits

If you are asking if the 20 amp circuit required for the bathroom receptacle can also feed the bathroom light, then the answer is yes, if you only feed one bathroom.

If you loop the bathroom receptacle circuit to more than one bathroom then it can only feed the receptacles. See 210.11(C)(3) 2005

you guy beat me, man i'm a slow typer.

Chris (raider1), that rolled off your lips, or fingers as it were, so well.... a lot more precise than I have done trying to relay it in the field.... hope I can remeber the wording.

Re: bathroom branch circuits

Sometimes feding a bathroom with a seperate circuit is quite advisable. Many high end hmes have more receptacles and devices in use at one than my wife has appliances plugged in during the holidays ;) I did one hme in south Tampa (davis Island) in which the master bath had if I remember correctly 14 receptacle outlets. They were in vanity drawers closets every foot along the backssplash.I did ask why so many and the husband said he wabts a place for his razor when his ife gets ready to go out for the night LMFAO
