Bathroom heaters

Looking for suggestions.
I have a small (50 sq ft) bathroom that I need to get into.

GFA is not an option .
I have two choices.
- Ceiling mounted heater/ fan combo outside the shower.

-Wall mounted fan forced heater with wall thermostat.

Seems that the ceiling unit would be counter productive if running the exhaust fan while in heat mode.

Also, would both require GFCi protection?

The wall unit would be 240V. The wall stat would be about 4’ from the sink basin.

Just how much heat do you need in a 50 sq ft bathroom? Would think 750W is plenty. A towel bar could even work if you get a big one and put it on a timer. Generally, I like radiant heat in a bathroom if it has a shower, as moving air on a wet person feels cold. So a heat lamp, baseboard heater, wall mounted electric radiant heater, or floor heat if they want to retile.

Don't know what "GFA" is. Something forced air?

Gas forced air.

Decided to go with a 30” baseboard heater.

Would that require GFCI protection?
 
I have a similar small bathroom. I installed a Panasonic fan/heat combo.

It heats the bathroom beautifully. My understanding when I installed it was that I could choose to turn the exhaust fan on with the heat, but as you say that seems wasteful.

I've noticed that with the heat switch on only, that the mirrors in the bathroom don't fog, and that I feel a draft under the door. I think this indicates that there is still some exhaust with the heat switch only on.
