Re: Bathroom Receptalces
Plate, Sure: The master closet had one light.
Instead of a single-gang, I installed a two gang for two switches. I powered up the box as normal, and pulled a 14-3 from the two-gang to the service. In the service, I installed a button photoeye, with it's neutral (White) the photoeye needs to operate, the power in (Black), and the switched power out (Red).
Back at the two gang, the red wire returns switched power from the photoeye to the two gang box. It then goes through the second switch, (remember, switch 1 was the closet light) and then out to a receptacle in each vanity she desired.
The photoeye would go into a test mode if the switch turned off the photoeye - everytime someone turned the light off, the photoeye would have reset and freaked out briefly when the power was turned back on. So I installed the switch on the load side of the photoeye, to dispel the illusion of things "freaking out" when the switch is turned off and on. Thus avoiding unnecessary warranty calls and explanations to the owner('s wife).
