Battery Packs vs Gen Set for Emerg/Exit Lts

Have any of you priced a job both ways? What was the relative difference?

I am working on two apartment complexes and my SWAG tells me it's nearly a wash on installed cost, which means the gen set is ahead.

I have to think battery packs hands down cheaper in both the short term and long term.

IMO the big advantage with a genset is the ability to run much longer then 90 minutes
