Becoming an inspector part time contractor

@NJ, I'm looking for advice on running a small part time service company owner operator and working for a town inspecting. Should I drop my Workman's comp. Drive a non commercial truck (no letters). I'm trying to get my OH down as much as possible.

So you want to operate a small business as a licensed electrical contractor and become an electrical inspector? The state will allow you to do both but there are some restrictions. Do you already have an ICS or HHS electrical inspectors license?
