i have used the pipe viper before. i dont like it at all. we had a hard time removing the spring after we bent the pipe. i just use a torch or a heat gun for smaller pipe (1/2,3/4,1") and a hot box or blanket for larger sizes

pipe viper

I tie my 1/2 and 3/4 pipe vipers together with about a 30" piece of sash chain. the 1/2 slips right into the 3/4 and goes right back under the seat. I also carry a small blanket which can do up to 2" if I have to. I have never had a problem removing a pipe viper with a chain on it. Comes out easily every time sometimes it is a pain to alligator wrestle in cold weather but is much faster and cheaper than prefab bends couplings glue or setting up a hot box. If you are doing large quantitys of pvc hand bending I reccomend an induction heater they sell them on Ebay you can put a whole bundle of 3/4 in the heater and walk away only use what you need it is loose as a goose and at the end of the day and unplugit without ever burning a single piece of pipe. 1/2-4"
