I'm looking for recommendations from people that use for automatic counting software for counting of fixtures and devices on PDF drawings. Bluebeam has a nice search feature, but isn't very flexible (it's hard to modify the count it comes up with....because their count is never 100& accurate). From what I know about OST on screen takeoff, it's more flexible in modifying counts, but you're still manually clicking on each device (it's not an automatic search of the PDF).

I also know Accubid has livecount, but the little I've used it, it seems to want you to do the entire take-off in livecount.....and I'm just wanting something to count light fixtures that I can then highlight and print out.

Make sense? :?

Conest software - surecount and intellibid programs.

Not sure if surecount will print out a drawing of highlighted fixtures; id say it probably will but idk. Basically you use that program to count, and then transfers those numbers into intellibid for the take-off. Once in intellibid you can print any count sheet you want.
