Rarely ever have I've seen a GC ask a sub for a bid bond.
Usualy the GC is required to put one up and mostly public works projects.
I'm bidding a job that has been off/on for the last 7 years. I just got invited recently.
It's making me suspicious there's something very risky somewhere and hence the bid bond request.
Thoughts?
