You cant rent a h.freight hammer drill if you wanted to! Ill keep my paradoxes to myself from here on out...
I love when i find the humour in something snd people still explain the silly part!
Mine cost 75 bucks in 2019. I've used it around 100 times. I do replace the grease in the gearbox though. The bits cost about the same since those are name brand. Only killed one of those so far and it was a 5/16 for tapcons

Yes sir! Gotta love those old machines.

This is my B&D Macho V Hammer Drill. It's long on the "Hammer" and short on the "Drill" - broken gear inside, won't turn the spline drive. But it hammers like crazy, and I simply can't throw it out (yet). Use it every so often as a little jack hammer.

Like the old horse sayin goes... "Been rode hard and put away wet". But it refuses to die.

As I get older, I don't like lifting the case around too early in the morning. Between the drill and bits, the thing is a workout.
Think the Black & Decker repair center only charged around $275 to rebuilt my Macho two. Was quoted over $100 for one of the parts so let them do the rebuild. Think all of the great Black & Decker service centers closed maybe 15 years ago. The two near me had a great inventory of parts. Had no problem picking up brushes and a switch from them.
