I've seen ravens try to lure red-tailed hawks between the phases... I'm really sure they were doing so purposefully trying to kill it.Rockyd said:How many ohms are mice and shrews rated? Once saw a raven take 25KV (wings got cross wise between to phase conductors open air), wow!!! Nothing but feathers blew out the back, and we were without power!
CHWflorida said:IMO any box connected to a raceway should have a cover. I would consider that a completed installation if the raceway is connected to electrical system. Of course with that said, around here it's common to run extra conduit out of a panel and stop it somewhere along the line without terminating to a box or enclosure. That is very handy for future and I don't want to see that go away. If you were required to properly mount a box at the end it might discourage some from doing that.
