OK, this is a pat on my back,we all know that that`s seldom. We all need this.Remember when we were the top dog!!!!Highest paid trade. That`s why I stuck with it.I took a sub division that had at least 30 closings a month with at least 3/4 tag @ $30 each to 85 with out a correction or a red tag, reason was poor supervision. For all out there that do because it`s the right thing to do
KUDOS to us.Yeah I`m being swelled headed but I earned it.That`s why I like this forum we can be what we are.PRO`S

OK, Allen.
Keep up the good work!
I still say that you guys have got to lobby against some of those wacky rules down there.

Re: Blowing your own horn

OK yes there was on the original post. But I stand by what I say stone cold.........And i agree Todd that there has to be someyhing done we are supposed to have a unified building code to go by.But if a jurisdiction doesn`t go by it well so be it.Addendums etc.I`m sick of bending over backwards twice for different reasons to do the same thing

Re: Blowing your own horn

Allen,
Does anywhere in Florida that you know of have a specific height requirement for a pool light switch??
This came up at my parents new home, whereas the pool light didn't work. The electrician came out and found the switch buried by sheetrock.
The electrician told my dad that he found it easily because there is a height requirement in Florida for the pool light switch.
Also, there is no Final sticker on either panel (400amp service) or on either disconnect.
This is in Lake Mary.

Re: Blowing your own horn

I think the electrician was either stating a company policy or misconception he has acquired. Florida has absolutely no local codes. (except for Palm Beach, Miami/Dade) There are a few back country county inspectors that think they can enforce their own code, however, I know the guys in Lake Mary. They're good guys. Ive done lots of work in Orlando and ran into them a few times. :)

Also, some builders have specs that are sometimes in addition to NEC requirements, but not universal to the jurisdiction or state. ;)
