Rigid nippleHow is the LB attached to the box now?
Then the bonding bushing (or wedge) should be simple.Rigid nipple
Why did he use a metal LB instead of a PVC LB?Romex in basement,
then into an LB,
then a PVC box.
Does tapping into that coupling void any listing??Like this? They failed to pull an EGC in the run of EMT that terminated with FMC.

No. There is actually no such thing as "voiding a listing". See post #19Does tapping into that coupling void any listing??
Oooo that opens a lot of grey areas I likeNo. There is actually no such thing as "voiding a listing". See post #19
For that matter, if the incoming wiring is NM, why use any LB?Why did he use a metal LB instead of a PVC LB?
Because for some reason the box couldn't be where the penetration had to be?For that matter, if the incoming wiring is NM, why use any LB?
Quality? Not sure. Why did he use a metal LB instead of a PVC LB?
Key word is conductors. OP has NM cables in there and this sounds like it's function is primarily a protective sleeve. If so that doesn't require bonding though it doesn't hurt to do so either. Here's the applicable wording
(3) Bonding of Electrical Equipment. Normally non–
current-carrying conductive materials enclosing electrical
conductors or equipment, or forming part of such equipment,
shall be connected together and to the electrical supply
source in a manner that establishes an effective groundfault
current path.
I thought about that, but it seems like stretch. The cable assembly has conductors inside.Key word is conductors. OP has NM cables in there and this sounds like it's function is primarily a protective sleeve. If so that doesn't require bonding though it doesn't hurt to do so either.
The next thing is whether those NM cables should even be on exterior side of the house to begin with.
You don't have to bond a metal tube that is simply a protection sleeve for NM cable. Or any other wiring method for that matter.I thought about that, but it seems like stretch. The cable assembly has conductors inside.
You may have a point....isn't there something in article 300 that states that? You don't have to bond a metal tube that is simply a protection sleeve for NM cable.
300.10 exception 1You may have a point....isn't there something in article 300 that states that?
That isn't an exception to bonding requirements.300.10 exception 1
I read it over a bunch of times and I'm not really sure what it's sayingThat isn't an exception to bonding requirements.
