Can anyone provide info that a removable "Baby Barrier" (the fences made with aluminum posts and fabric mesh) do not need to be bonded when installed closer than 5ft. to the pool if the mounting holes in the concrete deck for the alum. posts are sleaved with plastic?

some posts are pvc. Some posts are aluminum. However, the post are in pvc tubes in the deck. The fence is fabric. There is no way to bond the post for ease of install and remove. 95% of these fences are stored in the garage and NEVER used. Another joke is the battery operaterated door and window alarms. The double face tape might keep them in place untill final inspection.

What do u mean by "fabric" Is it metalic? Pay close attention to the exact word in art.680. Does it say metalic or conductive? After all, aluminum is not metal, it is an alloy, it is conductive. All metalic items within 5' of the pool wall must be bonded to the entire grid system.

So, do you propose I install a set of automobile-style jumper cables to the bonding grid to bond my metal chair and table set next to the pool? :-?

Alloy an element on the period table but an alloy, OK

Pure aluminium is a silvery-white metal with many desirable characteristics. It is light, nontoxic (as the metal), nonmagnetic and nonsparking. It is somewhat decorative. It is easily formed, machined, and cast. Pure aluminium is soft and lacks strength, but alloys with small amounts of copper, magnesium, silicon, manganese, and other elements have very useful properties. Aluminium is an abundant element in the earth's crust, but it is not found free in nature. The Bayer process is used to refine aluminium from bauxite, an aluminium ore.

Uses:
Although its electrical conductivity is only about 60% that of copper, it is used in electrical transmission lines because of its light weight. Pure aluminum is soft and lacks strength, but alloyed with small amounts of copper, magnesium, silicon, manganese, or other elements impart a variety of useful properties.

It's alloyed, and its a metal ...

i would suggest you move your metal chair and table set back to 5'1" from the pool. i wouldn't want to hear that you've been "taken out" by some stray voltage.
