Bonding Pull Box ahead of Service Disconnect 250.92

I have a pull box ahead of a service disconnect. There are no splices in the pull box. The box is connected to the disconnect with RMC. In order to bond the box to the Grounded Service Conductor, is it permitted to run a conductor (sized based on 250.66) from the Neutral Bus in the Service Disconnect back to the pull box and attach it with a lug?

I can't think of anything prohibiting that.

But why not just tap the grounded conductor as it goes through with a split bolt or other type of tap device?

IMO you can use the RMC as the bonding conductor, with bonding locknuts on both ends [250.92]

It's an existing installation. I wanted to make sure it was bonded properly, as we are doing work with a panel and ATS that's right next to the service disconnect.
