A vicious rumor!
:D

From what I have heard ...there are a couple of EI's in Middlesex County "attempting" to enforce it.
Speaking to an EI I am familiar with, a letter from the State "should" have gone out to all Building Depts. denying the need for a Kenny Clamp.

I have never installed one, but I do have a 1/2 dozen on a shelf.

...maybe I'll email the State and get an answer.....anyone want to enter a breath holding contest with me

Edison is in Middlesex County...and that is the town I alluded to .
I guess that letter never went out ...BUT....the red sticker was not because a KC wasn't used ~ but rather because a black beauty was used.

So's a ?" hole in the panel. They're just trying to hard-sell them.

Aha! Now I know where alot of guys from this forum spend alot of their time when they're not here! MDShunk sure has alot of posts! I don't know how he has the time to post so much and still do all of these jobs and run a business and have all the tools and gadgets in the book. Man that guy is something else! :)

My theory that I've mentioned a few times before is that he's most likely an alien dressed up as a normal man, because that's the only way you could explain such peculiarity.

Patpappas, IMO I think the most serious and dangerous condition that creates is if you lose the neutral. we would get at least 2 calls a month from customers losing a neutral either thru their utility or a problem with their own service. It happens. A lot. By bonding down stream panels all current will be flowing on the EGC and possibly everything attached to it. Its a lethal situation.
I know 250.32(b)ex. allows it under specific conditions. If for example you do not have an EGC. But again , if you lose that neutral its trouble. But AGAIN, I don't agree with it under any circumstances.
