Bonding to galvanized steel

I know we typically remove paint from steel to obtain good bonding continuity however should galvanizing also be removed to obtain good continuity? I’ve never removed galvanizing for purposes of bonding.

No need to remove the galvanizing. I would think removing it would be counter productive by creating a spot for corrosion to start.
