How do we bond for example a jacuzzi that is not piped with copper, yet the
new pvc plumbers are using??? I personally bonded the diverter which is copper
changed over from where they ended the pvc flex. What will we do when the whole house does not have copper, just that new material they are using?

If it ain't copper you don't bond it. You do not need to bond the fittings on a tub. They have been using plastic in Florida for over 30 years.

you know we should bond plastic it gets static cling on it.. :D
I had similar question incoming from well plastic metal fitting in front of pressure tank and then whole house in plastic..thank you for ufer grounds..

Ever listen to the static discharge on a cheap fuel dispensing hose? Diesel 10,000 gal above ground tank to farm equipment. Owner wanted to know if we could ground the hose. Wasn't difficult to talk them into a "real hose". The help was getting ready to walk before refueling again.

Hopefully someone will invent a plastic bonding clamp.

Can you use this on plastic pipe?
Hey look, it has a built-in disconnect!

Bonding the jacuzzi

I guess I should have explained it better ...Where do you bond the jacuzzi motor if all you have is plastic used for the water?

Your are not trying to bond the motor, you are bonding the piping. Since it is plastic there is no need to bond it.

Seems kinda silliy, but we had an IGA supermarket that we were working on, and the guys who used the lift wound up having to attach a piece of #14 wire to the metal rails of the lift, and when they got into place and lifted up to the height of the ceiling grid/ metal pipe/duct work, they had to take the wire and discharge all the static that had built up between the lift and the cheap lino floor in the place. Frequently got some big blue arcs out of it. Think about the shopping carts!

ive seen some hot tubs with metal waterpipes inside connected to plastic tubing.. i usually run a number 10 bare solid to that and use pipe clamps then run it back to the motor bonding lug
