I need 230 and have 208. Using http://www.buckboostcalculator.com/ i got the model it recommended. It gave me a diagram for the connections. Am i reading how to connect this right? I've never connected this type of transformer. Thanks

Connect LV to H1
Connect LV to H4 & X1
Connect H2 & H3
Connect X2 & X3
Connect Load to H1 & X4

Looks right, without seeing your selection. Here's how it works: As with any transformer, by applying the primary (120-240v) with power (208v), the secondary (typ. 12-24v) is energized at its design voltage (20.8v).

In this case, you want more voltage, so you wire the secondary in series with the source, adding its voltage to the source voltage (follow pathway from right input to right output). 208 + 20.8 = 228.8

Looks correct to me.

With that transformer and that connection you should get about 236V nominal, and be able to supply a 7kVA load. (back of the envelope check, not a precise calc)
