Got mine today, HOLD ON TIGHT, this bit can really tear, so if it grabs something, your arm may hurt for a while.

I learned that lesson a while ago. I usually only use my auger bits with my right-angle drill, and I make sure I hold it or brace it in such a way that my arm doesn't get injured again.

Me, too! Woo-hoo! It looks heavy-duty, alright. Gimme something to drill, like wet pressure-treated wood!

No, you just need to strengthen your arms. I can drill a 1" hole with my 24v DeWalt in one hand, arm straight out, and pull it back, too.

I got mine yesterday as posted. But I'm more excited to use the 2 free bits I got from my Ideal rep. 3/4" x 18 and 1" x 18 auger bits. We normally use a 7/8" x 18 for our new residential work.
