Larry - what does the B&D Pivot go for? I just picked up the B&D Firestorm Cordless Screwdriver. It also has a pivot head with three positions.

I have the DeWalt 18V Cordless Hammer Drill, but wanted something a little less bulky - for things like putting in receptacles, switches, etc. In the past I've used those straight versions - think I worked for a contractor that had the Milwalkee verision - bu the straight was hard to carry around - it would fall out of the pouch, as it was so long. That's why I went with the B&D, as it had a pivot, and I figured I could rig up some type of holder - don't use a pouch much anymore.

Oh - I have left DeWalt 18V'rs in the truck, and have found them discharged if it's 20 degrees or colder.

$30 at the orange and blue stores.

I usually use them straight (the driver, not me ), as it's easier to apply pressure in line with the screw, but the pivot comes in extra-handy for ceiling-fan canopy screws by keeping my dirty fingers away from the ceiling.

In fact, with 8" long #2 and #3 Philips bits, this is about the best ceiling-fan blade-screw driver there is. The long bits easily pass alongside the wiring compartment canopy without scratching the finish the way a bit-holder will.
