Looking for suggestions on box fill calculations I've reviewed Article 314 and Table 314.16(B) concerning box fill calculations. Do these apply to low voltage cables - CATV, cat5e, etc. Table 314.16(B) references single conductors. How do I apply this to jacketed multiconductor cable

There are a lot of other issues to consider in regard to sizing boxes for low voltage, but NEC 312 or 314 isn't among them. Bending radius of the various cables may become an issue in regard to signal if you were to try and jam cables into a small box.

Might want to hear what some of the low voltage guys may post later.

Don't worry about it.

From a code perspective they do not apply.

I agree with Rob.

2008 NEC Section 800.110 has a new sentence added that states the raceway fill tables of Chapter 3 and Chapter 9 shall not apply. This is for communications circuits.

820.110 has an exception that states basically the same thing for CATV installations.
