Box Fill

I strip the ends, tie the outer steel to the ground, make up the others, STUFF the whole 5' of the heating cable into the 2 gang carlon box, cover it up and repeat three times. Box fill, what's that?

That was not the time I got caught.... :grin:

I'm counting only 6 wires in a 2 gang box, where's the problem?

Correct wiring is one that can operate at its rated capacity and can ? rightfully so ? be assumed by a non-electrician as so. If the elements required of a circuit are compromised and not properly respected (such as length/control devices/box fill?) the installing electrician is violating code because the circuit would not be capable of its rating.

Wire fill for conduit and boxes is nothing to treat lightly it is the circuit.
