11 * 2 = 22 cubic inches minimum required

Why use 18" boxes (unless the wall depth won't allow it)?

I guess I'm just not tight enough. The price difference between a 22" box and and 18" box is what, 20 cents? 100 SG boxes in a house=$20.

The pain in the butt in counting all yours wires and proving to an inspector that it's compliant, or the time to rip out a box because you were one conductor over the limit: priceless (over $20).

Matt, two 12/2 romexes and one device totals up to 15.75 cu. in. Look for the cu. in. stamp on your box.
