I’m doing an exam prep and getting most of these questions wrong. I’m not understanding.
So a box with two 3” on the left
Two 3” on the bottom
One 3” one 2” on right
One 3” on top

What minimum size box?

What a terribly written question. I don't think that it can be answered with the given information. Did they give an answer?

Try this,
Draw a square.
Then place the pipes on the square as listed.
Then add minimum distances between them per NEC.
Start with the top pipe in center of box then design from there.
That should give you an ansawer based on angle and straight.

Once you get an idea of how this works your ansawer is an easy one based on largest pipes across from each other.

This is how we would do it in the field.

Largest of the angle or straight and has to fit the box size.

Let us know what you come up with.

Edit: let assume the conductors are #4 or larger.

If that don't fit an ansawer assume smaller than #4 and see if that fits.
Everyone I have done was based on #4 or larger.

How do you know which conduits are in the same conductor run?
That is something that these questions almost never give you, and in the real world (as opposed to the testing world) you actually need to know that to end up with a code compliant pull box.

Based on 314.28 (A) and (B). Based on worse case of straight pull versus angle pull 3” * 8” = 24” . So. 24” x 24”. This does not take into the requirements if it is a U pull. Is poorly written. Basing it off what information I have!
