A local one is selling 2-4/0, 1-2/0, 1#4 alum. for feeders from 200A disconnect to sub panel. This dosen't sound right to me. What say ye?

T250.122 lists #4 alum for a 200a breaker.

I agree with Ken.

250.122 has a #4 alu. wire good for and equipment grounding conductor for a 200 amp breaker.

You are also permitted to size the neutral to the maximum unbalanced load. See 220.61.
