Ran # 12-2 w/g romex to kitchen using 20 amp. circuit breaker feeding comb. GFCI SW. fed from switch to hood fan with (# 14-2 w/g) romex is this permissable if not where in code does it address this.

i am hoping the feed will be the new 14/2 nm on a 15 amp breaker that he will run for the range hood, and that he will never tap the dedicated 20 amp small appliance circuits for anything else other than adding another receptacle to the counter for convience.;)

What if these under counter lites are the plug-in style? ;)

good point.. however its looks to me as if he wants to tap the appliance circuit for the lights just like he wanted to do it for the hood. if i am wrong i will gladly apoligise. he can plug the lights into the appliance circuit if he wants to( i have a cheap under counter flourescent in my kitchen plugged in) but i sense that when he said 14/2 for the lights it implied a another tap to a switch, but like i said i could be wrong.
