Breaker type

Can a Cutler-Hammer 35amp 22KAIC, 3pole, 3ph and CH 25amp 22KAIC, 2pole, 1PH breakers be replaced with 10KAIC breakers? If necessary, I will check if the design calls for "series rated" breakers or "fully rated" breakers. Is any other information needed to find it out? Does the NEC specifically talk about it? Your quick help will be really appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Tom for your response. I did not do the design, therefore, I have to ask for the fault current calculations, if at all it exists.
