Does anyone know the British Standard number for twist-lock outdoor light controls?
We have a big customer who wants us to meet that spec.
FYI the ANSI Standard is C136.10.
Thanks.

You sure it's not an IEC pin and sleeve?

I don't know what it is.
Maybe I should ask "How do they install a photocell in England under a BS when it's not hard wired?"
The customer is not in Europe but they say they use the BS but they can't identify the standard.

240V 50Hz which is no problem. We already meet that and it looks like the plug blades are the same for the US ANSI standard and the BS. The receptacles are different but the plug blade geometry looks like it might be the same. I also found some products online which claim to comply with both ANSI C136.10 and BS5972. I'm waiting on some information from one of our suppliers to verify this.
