Bryant in BR panel

Check those old panel labels again. The BR type breaker has been around for decades. BR is BR, old or new.

Haven't been here in awhile so this is as good a thread to jump into.
Malty, what everyone is trying to tell you is that you just don't put
used breakers into a panel. I have never done it except in a temp/
emergency. You have no idea what the operational condition of these old
breakers is. This whole discussion on breaker/panel listing is
immaterial except as an excercise in info gathering and just clouds the
real issue. If you quoted a price to the customer using the old
breakers, that was a mistake and now it's time to dance your way out of
it.

I keep used Wadsworth, Pushmatic, Zinsco, FPE and even a couple of old Square D type XO breakers on my van from service changes I've done. I ALWAYS tell the client that they are used and will write used on my invoice. If they want new, I can get them, but it will take time and money. The one that makes me nervous is the FPE, but even the new replacement ones made today by American worry me! Any other brands that are readily available today go in the trash.
