I need to find out what the NEC requirements are regarding the distance of a structure (i.e., chimney) from overhead power lines. Is there a minimum recommended distance and, if so, what is it? Thank you!

Then i see no problem as long as the drop cant hit the chimney.Do take wind into the factor

That being the case I will close this thread.
I will give you a heads up that if they are power lines under control of a utility the NEC is not going to apply.
