I'm in the process of installing a relatively large-sized PV system (20KW system, generating about 30,000kwh annually).
I'm discussing with different solar contractors about interconnection.
I have 400amp service, 200amp MSP and two subpanels of 100amp each. See pictures here,

How does I know what the ratings are for busbar in each panel? It's not shown. I see Device Rating and Meter Socket Rating, but not sure what they mean in relation to busbar size.
I was told by one contractor since I have 400amp busbar in main panel, based on 120% rule, it would be simple to backfeed up to 80A from PV system.
I was also told by a contractor we can do "load side taps" (not sure what he meant) or add a subpanel with a bigger busbar.
I'm confused.
