Bushings for PVC

Yep. I use a solid metal bushing to pull the conductors, the pull string/rope can cut into the male PVC adapter easily and damage it or the conductors on the pull, and then replace it with a cheapo plastic one for inspection.

For underground services where we go to the customers equipment, we don't put on bushings. sometimes we have had the pull string/rope cut into the pvc as you have described.
Stoopid me, I have never thought about your suggestion, but I will be taking on to work with me on Monday. I have some 2" and 3" metal bushings in my shop. Learn something new everyday... :dunce:

Bushings in manholes

Is it a requirement to install bushings/bell ends in manholes, handholes or stubbed up into transformers? Again, for PVC conduit.
I've heard different answers to this.
