This past year I was looking to add infrared scanning to our list of services. I only have one customer who was interested. He runs an industrial facility and he said his insurance carrier required infrared scanning be performed once a year.

The cost of the equipment was around 10K plus training. Being a two man shop and only having one customer interested in the service just didn't make it financially feasible at the time. I've tried expanding my industrial customer base but haven't had any success yet.

This past year was great for me. Had a lot of work and kept both of us busy. But I saw the slowdown coming a while back and forewarned my employee to have a good cash reserve just in case. He's been off for most of the past two weeks. I've been in the office, worked a few days in the field, nothing much.

I'm bidding on a couple of Dollar Tree stores, one is a full build-out, the other is doing the cash wrap power, managers office, EMS system. I had an EC tell me they are moving into larger commercial projects because the resi. market they normally work in is dead.
