bussmann dmm-11a vs dmm-b-11

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between bussmann dmm-11a vs dmm-b-11a?

My Fluke's Amp reading fuse blew (operator error of cause).

Looking at fuse pulled from the Fluke, it's a DMM-11A

While looking for a replacement, most sites cross-reference or flat out substitute DMM-11A for DMM-B-11 (or DMM-B-11A).

I'm looking high and low and can't find the difference (other than price), so not sure if the "B" is a replacement or substitute.
They're both rated as fast acting, 1000VAC.

I'm only doing residential, low voltage work, therefore metering is limited to 240VAC, 20Amp circuits.

The only thing I could find is one is listed as nafta complaint and the other as arra. So I guess buy the B one and buy American:) Otherwise they are the same.

There were rumors of fake ones on EBay though.

The apparent difference is that the DMM-11A is an older version and no longer meets the European RoHS requirements (Reduction of Hazardous Substances). The "B" version is the replacement for it.

The "A" version didn't meet ARRA (aka "Buy American" act) back in the day because it came from overseas. The "B" version still does, but the ARRA rules have changed because of the RoHS issue, so they can now say that it DOES meet ARRA.
