Buying a pipe threader

Well...electricians "rope"...
As long as you spend the free time oiling the heck out of the dies...
Pony threader?! In the high desert its a hogs head... aka, watch it take a rookie for a ride! I do not miss those damned things...think hole hawg w/a forcner bit.
 
Ridgid tri stands usually have that tee handle acme threaded handle that comes up through the bottom of the tri stand. Many don't know what it is for. You cut a 1" pipe place it on the vise and turn the handle to jamb the pipe up against the ceiling to brace the tri stand

Learn something new every day! Never even noticed that but just checked, and sure enough ours have it too.

Oil is a must while threading any pipe.
Hogs heads are for anything over 2" if I'm not mistaken ran by a pony of course.
A pony lets you get those bent pipes threaded that don't fit in the bigger threaders.
