CA code on bathroom GFCIs

I must say that I would never design an installation where multiple bathroom receptacles are fed from one 20amp branch circuit.

I wonder how often it actually makes sense to run from bathroom to bathroom. We always just run a feed to each bathroom and feed everything in the room from that feed.

Exception: Where the 20-ampere circuit supplies a single
bathroom
, outlets for other equipment within the same
bathroom shall be permitted to be supplied in accordance
with 210.23(A)(1) and (A)(2).

This exception indicates there can be multiple bathrooms on a single circuit. Note the section in red.

IMO, it also indicates if it is not a single bathroom, you can't put other equipment on the dedicated circuit.
