Next time you install a piece of switch gear read the instructions that come with it. These requirements with diagrams are always included. It is, however, rarely done. Allot of time the manufacturer doesn't give us enough room to do more that barley get the cables landed let alone have room to brace them.

I recently did this in a CT can I wired up and then on the switchgear. The inspector was actually quite suprised and said that he never, ever sees that done, even though often-times it's required.
