Is bundeling of 4 or more nm cables for 24''+ a safety issue in residential construction? If yes, how much seperation is needed and how often?

Re: Cable Bundles

I think it would be a problem in terms of heat dissipation. Cables deep inside a bundle could overheat and cause the insulation to deteriorate.

How much separation is needed is entirely up to the AHJ.

Re: Cable Bundles

Bundling of NM has become a big issue here recently more than 9 conductors together within 24 ins is bundling.3M stackers are the ticket.

Re: Cable Bundles

So make them happy ,run 2 on one stud and other 2 on stud too left.change back and forth as needed.Seems odd we bundled for years and no problems.
