I have a 3phase, 20kva,480y/277 in and out UPS system and i want to find out what NEC code says maximum length should be from output of unit to load...Please answer to jrutherford@onlinepower.com

NEC does not specify length. Nec only give minimum cable size based on OCPD vs. the number of conductors in a given raceway.

The length is a design issue where voltage drop becomes a issue.
