Ladder style ,48” wide 6” tall aluminum I beam, open bottom 6” rung spacing. Manufacturer offers factory bends 30 degrees to 90.
We are installing tray around a clarifier at a WWTP and about every 20 feet we need around 10 degrees of bend. NEMA V2 does not address this that I can find. I spoke with factory tech support who said to simply miter the ends of straight tray and bend the splice brackets in a break to match the angles. NEMA V2 states that a radius must be supported in the center of the radius and within 2’ of each end where the factory bend splices to the next straight section.
Tech support states that at miter degree we require they would treat as if it was simply a splice between two straight sections and support would only be required as such.
Does anyone have experience with less than factory available bends and the application and installation?
