cable tray PV cables separation

Hi

I have a doubt with nec 690. We have a metal cable tray on a roof (with cover) and nec says that we must to separate dc and ac with a partition, but later says that is enough with cable ties if we have a raceway with removable cover. So, can I install my ac and dc cable in one cable tray without partition?

Agree. Partition required. The grouping requirement is for where the circuit conductors exit, enter, or otherwise are not in the cable tray, such as in j-boxes, cabinets, enclosures.
