I am currently running a project that has been designed with cable tray being used for feeder and branch circuit conductors. We are using type tc cable for all branch circuits smaller than 4/0.
The engineer has recessed all of the panelboards in drywall partitions and I have 1 wall with 7 42ckt. panels in a 15' wall, drywall both sides. The branch circuit tray runs 1' off the front of these panels, parallel to them above the drop ceiling. I need to get these TC cables from the tray to the panel and I cannot use conduit due to derating. Does anyone know if I can run a 12" ladder type tray down the inside of the partition (approx.3') or any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!
