Having trouble finding documentation verifying that TC cables installed in cable tray shall be installed in a neat workmanlike manner.. any help where I can find references under good work practices so I can throw it In contractors face..lol, Because poor work is not acceptable.

Besides 110.12 and a few references in chapters 6 through 8 you won't find it and nothing specific in article 392. The problem with "neat and workmanlike is it is in the eye of the beholder and to some slop looks like fine art. The style manual even points out that the term is likely unenforceable

While the NEC has various locations calling for "workmanlike" installation, by NFPA's own guidelines such terms are not enforceable. If you can't measure it, you can't control it. You would have to look to contract language or specification requirements to get from here to there. And again, simply saying "cables shall be installed in cable tray in a neat and workmanlike manner" isn't going to be enforceable if it ever got as far as a court of law.

Is this a contract job? The contract spell out what type of work is to be done or your approval?
ours are laid out so they can be traced if needed by following with the eye in the rack.
we expect our contractors to follow suit.
