What leads you to believe that something in the code has been changed to remove the requirement? My understanding (limited as I know it to be) is that you trigger T24 requirements on a TI if you do certain things or affect a certain minimum amount of area. But once you open that door, you have to deal with everything that is inside the room.
it's pretty common to see offices spiffed around here, with new lighting.
all the receptacles are existing. nothing new added. they show as NIC
on the approved drawings. usually they aren't drawn in at all.
all i do when i certify lighting is that the approved drawings were adhered to.
if the work is not attached to a permit number, i have nothing to issue a
certification of.
now, if the drawings are not compliant, we have to look at that, as it's part
of the certification. but if it's not on the drawings.....
i'm a third party auditor, not a PE, and not the PE of record. if i've got a question
on the job, i go to the forms page, get the PE's number, and call for a chat.
