What code cycle does Ag reference in California?
What code cycle does Ag reference in California?
I’m dealing with a company from California and I think they were surprised we had a GFCI requirement for outside recepts. No idea if Ag does anything different, but I doubt it. We recently adopted the 2014 code, we are always about 3-4 years behind.
Well they shouldn't be. You have to go back to the 2005 code to see any difference in the way 210.8 (B) was written, and even then it would have been required, unless they think that these systems are not "used by or accessible to the public". But that sentence was removed and hasn't been there for the last 2 code cycles that Ca. has adopted. They are either ignorant or have failed to keep current.I’m dealing with a company from California and I think they were surprised we had a GFCI requirement for outside recepts.

Yeah, sorry, I don't have to deal with 547 much.547.5(G) gets a little more specific for GFCI protection.
