Couldn't afford the high end Nikon.

Got a Kodak Easyshare v1003 the other day. 10 megapixel. Takes great photos and easy to download to computer.

I am able to carry it with me while at work so that I can take photos on the job.

we have the easyshare for the kids to use and take random pics.

cannon rebel xt with 3 good lenses for the real work. I love that it can shoot so fast- great for soccer. We've shot about 20k pics with it so far, keep about 4%.

I keep an old olympia digital in the truck, but it never seems to have batteries- it runs on 4 AA's... sucks them dry.

If it works, makes good pics and is easy to tote around it is the best tool for the task at hand. So far Pierre's pics have been very nice. I think the operator has much to do with the tool in this case and Pierre seems to be approaching master level. I like looking at his shots and I tend to be a picky observer.

I have learned that the operator has a lot to do with the picture quality. A good photographer can take my camera and make me look silly.

Once I get a little better with angles, framing of the subject, etc... I think I am going to get another digital SLR.
The "bridge camera" I purchased is relatively low in cost compared to the DSLR, but it is harder to capture those elusive shadowed pieces of equipment in the poorly lit rooms we generally work in.
Also, the "bridge camera" is extremely slow between pics...I am getting a lot older using it.
